About This Site

We often, very often hear about "Common Sense", yet what is it? We are told to display it, practice it but when is it really discussed or taught? Can it be taught or are we 'just born that way'?

The term Common Sense has existed for centuries yet it remains elusive. My favorite definition is, “what is or should be known by the average person” (used with permission, and with my thanks to Andrew Holloway, Jujitsu black belt, San Jose, California).

My opinion is that common sense is both taught and inherited. Just like most traits in the human and animal worlds. Some of us are born with a greater or lesser capacity yet much depends on how we are raised. I know for a fact it can be taught because I’ve seen it happen.

A partner of Common Sense is “Daily Wisdom”. Combined they make the world better and our lives happier and more successful. Wisdom comes from experience – ours and others’. It is more than the limited saying of “learn from your mistakes”, rather, it is learn from your experiences and the experiences of others.

Goals

My goal is to offer information following the K.I.S.S. process. MY definition of KISS is "Keep It Simple & Successful !" I offer articles, references & links (some are already here, some are coming). Feedback in important for all of us. Please let me know your thoughts & feelings about this site.
